“Father’s Day – Honoring the Divine Masculine” by Rev Merry Shaver.
A successful father must be present, emotionally available, and actively showing the child he cares enough to engage. Likewise, if you wish to be parent to your spiritual life, you, too, must be actively involved. If you want to grow spiritually, you must show this to yourself, show your soul through your actions, that you are there and are responsible. If you fail to step up and take responsibility for your life, you run the risk of experiencing confusion, a lack of purpose and a general sense of ennui.
You won’t be getting anywhere because you will not have identified where it is you want to go. Then the vitality of living becomes the valley of depression. Very few if any of us consider ourselves to be a perfect parent to our children or indeed to ourselves. With Spirit, the One Father-Mother God we learn to get better at revealing the perfection that lies within.
